Felix Juefei Xu is a Research Scientist with GenAI at Meta, based in New York City, where he works on robust perception and efficient learning problems in the domain of generative AI. He is also affiliated with New York University as an Adjunct Professor. Previously, he was a Research Scientist with Alibaba Group, based in Sunnyvale, CA. During his Ph.D. studies at CMU, he was working in a research group specializing in pattern recognition, machine learning, computer vision, and image processing, especially as applied to the field of biometrics, at Carnegie Mellon CyLab Biometrics Center under the supervision of Prof. Marios Savvides.
