Bio
Filippo Bosi was born in Lucca, Italy, in 1953. In 1979, he started his work as mechanical engineer at the Pisa Section of National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN). His interest is on silicon sensors and their use as tracking devices in the micro-vertex detectors and on the inertial motion sensitive devices. He has been system engineer in the design of the silicon vertex detector for Apparatus for LEP Physics (ALEPH) at the Large Electron-Positron Storage Ring (CERN), Collider Detector at Fermilab (CDF) at Tevatron (Fermilab), BaBar at PEP2 (Stanford Linear Accelerator Center) and lately of the inner tracker system for CMS at the Large Hadron Collider (CERN). He is responsible of the High Technologies team at the INFN Pisa and he is the coordinator of the clean room laboratory.
