George Kalfas received the Diploma and M.Sc. degrees in computer science from AUTH in 2005 and 2010, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in signal theory and telecommunications from UPC in 2017. From November 2006 to 2012, he was with the Informatics and Telematics Institute, Hellenic Center for Research and Technology, as a Research Assistant, where he worked in numerous European and Greek research projects. Since 2013, he has been working as a Research Associate with AUTH and he is currently involved in three European research projects in the area of 5G communications. He has authored more than 50 research papers in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences (H-index = 10). His main research interests include MAC layer protocols, topology, and architectures for converged FiWi networks.
