George York

George York received the B.S.E.E. degree from the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, CO, and the M.S.E.E. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Washington, Seattle. He is the Program Manager with the Air Force Office of Scientific Research, London, U.K. He supports research in sensors, antennas, signal processing, RF weapons, superconductivity, and space weather. He manages over 50 programs in 28 countries throughout Europe, Africa, and the former Soviet Union. Previously, he was an Associate Professor with the U.S. Air Force Academy, where he was a member of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Research Group, developing algorithms to cooperatively control multiple UAVs. His principal fields of interest are sensor networks, embedded computing, signal processing, medical ultrasound, and engineering education. He has authored more than 40 publications and inventions in these areas.
