My main research interests are bioorganic chemistry, chemical modification of natural products and structure – activity relationships (SAR). Synthesis of new derivatives of natural products such as monensin, betulin or betulinic acid (from simple modifications to creating bioconjugates) could enhance their biological activity and determine SAR. The most important aim is delivery more active and more selective derivatives which might be potential drugs, usually for anticancer therapy.
