个人简介
With over 12 years of experience in climate, energy, and sustainability research, I am an engineering program manager at Google, where I lead the quantification and reduction of the company's data center supply chain carbon footprint. I have a Ph.D. in Natural Resources and Environment from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor, where I specialized in sustainability research and environmental modeling.
As part of my role, I work with suppliers and internal engineering teams to advance Google's net-zero objectives, using LCA and other quantitative tools and methods to measure and reduce GHG emissions associated with computational electronics, focusing on AI/ML hardware systems. I also improved accuracy of supply chain GHG accounting for external ESG reporting, including working with software engineers to drive model implementations and new feature creations.
Previously, I was a principal investigator at Argonne National Laboratory, where I supervised junior scientists/researchers and led research projects, focusing on decarbonization and net-zero transition for various energy and manufacturing sectors. I am passionate about using data and science to inform and enable sustainable solutions for the planet. As of 2023, I have led or contributed 38 publications in leading sustainability research journals such as Environmental Science & Technology.
