Haoran recieved his Ph.D. from the Institute of Neuroscience in Shanghai, where he studied how the multi-stable phenomenon binocular rivalry is processed in macaque’s early visual areas using intrinsic signal optical imaging in Dr. Haidong Lu’s lab. With an enduring interest in the higher cognitive functions, Haoran joined the Desimone Lab in 2016. He studies social perception and cognition in marmosets with ephys and fMRI.
