I focus on the experimental study of high-temperature superconductors and related low-dimensional quantum spin systems.
For the comprehensive understanding of these systems, we need to know the quantitative physical properties. For this purpose, I grow single crystals of these systems and measure their charge/spin dynamics. I usually measure magnetic susceptibilities using SQUID magnetometer (MPMS, manufactured by Quantum Designs inc.). Some of the crystals are used by the worldwide researchers who have specialities in complementary experimental techniques.
