Hongnian Wang

Hongnian Wang received both the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in geophysics from the Changchun Science and Technology University, Changchun, China, in 1989 and 1994, respectively. He is currently a Professor in the Physics Department, Jilin University, Changchun, China. His current research interests are in the area of forward modeling and inversion of resistivity logs, the enhancement of the vertical resolution, and the comprehensive interpretation of well-logging data for thin beds. Previously, he has studied forward modeling of wave equations and the joint inversion of the seismic and gravity data in layered medium. From September 1989 to May 1995, he was a Lecturer in the Department of Geophysics, Changchun Science and Technology University. From May 1995 to June 1997, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher, and from May 1997 to August 2001, he was an Associate Professor both while at Jilin University.
