Bio
His current research interests concentrate on nonlinear photonics and in particular, the emission properties and dynamics of modern photonic sources, neuro-inspired information processing, coupled laser systems, networks of lasers, synchronization of lasers and neurons, and utilization of chaos. Ingo Fischer has a long teaching experience, receiving excellent student evaluations. His teaching record comprises undergraduate and graduate courses, including Electromagnetism, Nonlinear Photonics, Optical Metrology and Instrumentation, Remote Sensors and Fiber Optics, Physical Electronics, among several others. Ingo Fischer has published more than 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals which have been cited more than 4500 times (WoS). He has received the Research Prize of the Adolf-Messer Foundation in 2000, and the first Hassian Cooperation Prize of the Technology Transfer Network in 2004.
