Bio
Our research is focused on the pathophysiological roles of the immune system in cardiovascular diseases. We investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying mutual regulation between cardiovascular cells and the immune system including mast cells and T lymphocytes and advance translational research. A novel strategy targeting immune and inflammatory pathways may prove beneficial in preventing cardiovascular diseases such as heart failure and atherosclerosis. We also educate young researchers through an on-the-job training system in clinical research and promote their capability for conducting translational research.
