J. Scott Evans

J. Scott Evans is a systems engineer, physicist, project manager, and software developer at Computational Physics, Inc. He has spent much of the last decade developing distributed battle space modeling and simulation systems for the U.S. Missile Defense Agency (MDA). In support of this modeling and simulation work he participated in the CORBA Component Model (CCM) Finalization Task Force (FTF) and managed the design and development of the Enterprise Java CORBA Component Model (EJCCM). During and prior to his modeling and simulation work he supported the development of first-principalsphysics phenomenology models. More recently he has supported the development of sensor models and participated in sensor data calibration and algorithm validation for solar extreme ultraviolet instruments onboard the NOAA GOES-13 satellite and terrestrialfar far ultraviolet instruments onboard the Air Force DMSP F 17 satellite. He received his BS in Physicsfrom Virginia Tech and an Ms in Applied Physics from George Mason University.
