个人简介
I research methods of recognising and understanding human activity and social interaction. Interdisciplinary by nature, my work draws on and contributes to topics within the broader fields of wearable computing and social neuroscience. My work is funded by an APEX award from the Royal Society, the British Academy, and the Royal Society of Engineering. (I also hold a public engagement grant through the same scheme - more details to follow in 2022!) I also serve as a co-Investigator on two ERC grants: Neurolive, a 5-year project investigating the neuroscience of live performance, and SocSensors, a 1.5-year proof-of-concept grant to develop a wearable sensor-based support system for autistic children.
As an example of some of my work at the intersection of theatre, wearables, and neuroscience, have a look at my collaboration with UCL and Flute theatre in Deconstructing The Dream (featuring the first live scanning of an actor's brain live on stage!)
