Jani Puttonen

Jani Puttonen (Member, IEEE) received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Jyväskylä, in 2003 and 2006, respectively. From 2006 to 2021, he was a Senior Research Scientist and a Principal Scientist with Magister Solutions, with a focus on network-level simulations, performance analysis, and development of radio resource management algorithms for both mobile and SatCom networks. In 2020, he took the position of the Director of Simulation Services leading and managing the research and development and simulation projects of Magister Solutions as well as being commercially responsible for the Magister SimLab simulation service. Since January 2022, he has been the CEO of Magister Solutions. He has published over 60 papers in international journals and conferences and has been the inventor of several patents in the area of wireless communications. His research interests include 5G and 6G non-terrestrial networks.
