Jean-Francois Chamberland (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.Eng. degree from McGill University, the M.S. degree from Cornell University, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign. He is currently a Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Texas A&M University. Recently, he has been studying the efficient design of wireless systems and the fundamental limits of communication networks. His research interests include communications and information theory, statistical inference, computer systems and networks, and learning. His contributions have been recognized through the IEEE Young Author Best Paper Award from the IEEE Signal Processing Society, the Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Award from the National Science Foundation (NSF), and the IEEE Communications Society and Information Theory Society Joint Paper Award. He also serves as a Senior Area Editor for the IEEE Open Journal of Signal Processing. He was an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Information Theory.
