Jianguo Chen was born in Henan, China, in 1982. He received the B.S. degree in materials science and engineering from Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou, China, in 2005, and the Ph.D. degree in electronic material and device from Shanghai University, Shanghai, China, in 2010. He was invited as a Postdoctoral Fellow with Peking University, Beijing, China, from 2011 to 2012. In 2013, he joined the faculty of Shanghai University. He is currently an Associate Research Fellow with the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Shanghai University. He is researching and fabricating BiFeO3–PbTiO3 and BiScO3–PbTiO3 ceramics, and designing and fabricating high temperature sensors and actuators. He has authored over 50 peer-reviewed papers and holds two patents. His current research interests include high-temperature piezoelectric ceramics and multiferroic material for sensor and actuator applications.
