Bio
张建国,南方科技大学计算机科学与工程系教授。
He received the Best Cancer Paper Award in Medical Image Understanding and Analysis Conference (MIUA) 2014, and the Best Paper Award in International Machine Vision and Image Processing Conference 2008. He won the international challenge on brain White Matter Hyperintensities (WMH) segmentation, MICCAI 2017, Quebec, Canada; won the Endoscopic Vision Challenge on sub challenges of Polyp Localisation and Early Barret's Cancer detection, MICCAI15, Munich; won the first international contest (both tasks) on Performance Evaluation of Indirect Immunofluorescence Image Analysis Systems (with ICPR2014). He with Dr. Cordelia Schmid twice won the International Pascal Visual Object Classification Challenge for the categorization contest in 2005 (6 out of 8) and 2006 (8 out of 10)(Method). He was awarded the President Prize of Chinese Academy of Sciences 2002. He is the founding co-chair and co-organizer of the 1st International Workshop on Video Event Categorization, Tagging and Retrieval (VECTaR2009). He is also an editor of a book "Intelligent Video Event Analysis and Understanding" in Springer-Verlag series. He is an area chair of BMVC2016-2010. He regularly served as PC members/referees for international journals and top conferences, including IJCV, IEEE TPAMI, IEEE TIP, IEEE TSMC, IVC, PR, CVIU, PRL, ICCV, CVPR, ECCV, BMVC etc. He is a senior member of IEEE (SMIEEE) and a Fellow of High Education of Academy UK (FHEA).
