John E. Wenskovitch (Member, IEEE) received the M.S. degree in computer science from the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA, USA, in 2011, with a focus on data visualization and human–computer interaction, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA, USA, in 2019, with a focus on data visualization and human–computer interaction. He is currently a Visual Analytics Research Scientist with the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and an Adjunct Professor of computer science with Virginia Tech. His research interests include human-in-the-loop data science, analytical provenance, trust in machine assistance, and the application of data visualization to the sciences. Dr. Wenskovitch is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery and the American Astronomical Society. He serves on the organizing and program committees of multiple conferences, including the IEEE VIS, the ACM Conference on Human Factors in Computer Systems, and the ACM Conference on Intelligent User Interfaces.
