个人简介
Michael Jonson received the Ph.D. degree from Penn State University, State College, PA, USA, in 1998, with a dissertation on radiated noise mitigation using structural acoustic tailoring.
He has 35 years of experience in submarine, torpedo, and surface ship propulsor acoustics, platform noise, noise control engineering, and propulsor design. He has ten years of experience with MHK axial and crossflow turbines. He acted as a Principal Investigator or Project Engineer for many successful Navy and DARPA propulsor programs. In his early career, he focused on flow acoustic experimental measurements conducted in the Garfield Thomas Water Tunnel, the large cavitation channel, and on the large-scale vehicle. Since then, he has added analytical and computational capabilities to the laboratory; particularly in the areas of blade rate and turbulence ingestion forces. He has also conducted extensive research in structural vibration and acoustics. He has a unique experience base that provides in-depth knowledge of flow acoustics, structural acoustics, and electromagnetic motor modeling.
