Kiamal Pekmestzi is a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens. He has a PhD in electrical engineering from the University of Patras. Previously, he was a research fellow with the Electronics Department at the Nuclear Research Center “Demokritos.” He was also a professor with the Higher School of Electronics, Athens. His research interests include efficient implementation of arithmetic operations, design of embedded and microprocessor-based systems, architectures for reconfigurable computing, VLSI implementation of cryptography, and DSP algorithms.
