Kurt's recent research has concentrated on realtime perception and navigation for mobile robots, especially using vision. He has been an invited lecturer at universities and institutions in many different countries, and has been on the editorial board of various academic publications, including Fundamenta Informaticae Journal of Applied Non-Classical Logics, International Journal of Applied Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence Journal, Journal of Artificial Intelligence Research, and Autonomous Robots. He has authored over 100 scientific publications, including 3 books and Best Paper awards at several major AI and Robotics conferences.
