Kui Cai

Kui Cai (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.E. degree in information and control engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China, the M.Eng. degree in electrical engineering from the National University of Singapore, and the joint Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Eindhoven, The Netherlands, and the National University of Singapore. She is currently an Associate Professor with the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). Her main research interests include coding theory, information theory, and signal processing for various data storage systems and digital communications. She was a recipient of the 2008 IEEE Communications Society Best Paper Award in Coding and Signal Processing for Data Storage. She served as the Vice-Chair (Academia) for the IEEE Communications Society, Data Storage Technical Committee (DSTC) from 2015 to 2016. She was listed in 2020 Who’s Who in Engineering Singapore.
