个人简介
Within the Opto-electronic Materials Section Laurens Siebbeles has been studying excitons and charge carriers in organic materials and inorganic quantum dots, nanorods and two-dimensional materials. Excitons/charges are produced by laser pulses and detected with optical and microwave/terahertz conductivity measurements on timescales from femto- to milliseconds. He pairs experiments with quantum mechanical electronic structure calculations and modeling of exciton and charge decay by (Auger) recombination.
