Lena Rittger

Lena Rittger was born in Erlenbach am Main, Bavaria, Germany, in 1987. She received the German Diploma degree in psychology from the University of Würzburg, Germany, the Postgraduate Diploma degree in science from the University of Otago, New Zealand, and the Ph.D. degree in psychology from the University of Würzburg in 2015. From 2012 to 2015, she was in the position of industry cooperative Ph.D. student at Opel AG, Rüsselsheim, Germany. From 2015 to 2017, she worked as the Project Lead of Human Factors at Opel AG, where her main focus was on the investigation of human factor questions in the design of advanced driver assistance systems. Amongst others, she developed a traffic light assistance systems within the German Government funded Project UR: BAN. Since 2017, she has been with the Innovations User Experience Department of Audi AG, Ingolstadt, Germany, responsible for pre-development projects covering innovations around empathic assistance systems, motion sickness, and innovative interior design. She is an author and coauthor of several journal articles and book chapters in the field of human factors research and holds multiple patents. She received the Award of the Unterfränkische Gedenkjahrstiftung for research.
