Lionel Ott

Lionel Ott received the Ph.D. degree in robotics and machine learning from the University of Sydney, Camperdown, NSW, Australia, in 2014. He is currently a Senior Researcher with the Autonomous Systems Lab (ASL), ETH Zürich, Zürich, Switzerland. Before working with the ASL, he was a Senior Research Fellow with the School of Computer Science, University of Sydney. His research interests include the intersection between machine learning and robotics with the goal to develop methods, techniques, and systems that allow an autonomous agent to build and maintain a representation of the ever-changing world in which robotics systems operate to achieve their given task. His research interests also include model learning and decision making, taking uncertainty into account.
