Luca Barletta received the M.S. degree (with honors) in telecommunications engineering and the Ph.D. degree in information engineering from Politecnico di Milano, Milan, Italy, in 2007 and 2011, respectively.
He currently is an Assistant Professor at the Dipartimento di Elettronica, Informazione e Bioingegneria (DEIB), Politecnico di Milano, Milan, Italy.
From 2011 to 2012 he was a Post-doctoral Researcher at Politecnico di Milano, and in 2012 he was a Visiting Researcher at Bell Labs, Alcatel-Lucent, Holmdel, NJ, USA.
From 2012 to 2015 he was a Senior Researcher at the Institute for Communications Engineering and at the Institute for Advanced Study, Technische Universitaet Muenchen, Munich, Germany.
Luca Barletta's research interests are mainly in information and communications theory, with applications to wireless and fiber-optic communications, and random access protocols.
