Bio
Marcon’s research interests follow her areas of clinical interest and expertise. In general the clinical studies have evolved from groups of patients seen in the Motility Clinic, especially those with swallowing disorders. This includes esophageal motility problems, such as Achalasia and Eosinophilic Esophagitis As a member of Aerodigestive Clinics they are looking at long term outcomes, burden of care and morbidity.
Dr. Marcon also has an interest in Celiac Disease and have collaboration with Paediatric Endocrinology. They have a large multi-center study looking at dual diagnosis – Celiac Disease and Type 1 Diabetes, and the effect of gluten free diet.
