Bio
Marcello Condorelli received the master’s degree in materials chemistry from the University of Catania, Catania, Italy, 2016.
He won and completed the International Doctorate Course in chemical sciences XXXII cycle with a thesis entitled “Metal Nanoparticles Shape Control to Enhance Plasmon and Catalytic Properties” at the University of Catania, where he holds a position of Researcher Fellow. He works in collaboration with Enel Green Power in a project titled: “Innovative Plasmonic Nanomaterials for Technologies in Energy-Efficient Solar Cells.” His expertise includes optical spectroscopy, with particular expertise in Raman and IR spectroscopy, and morphological characterization techniques such as AFM. His research interests include production of noble metal nanoparticles for application in solar energy harvesting, photocatalysis, and sensing.
