Maria Bondani

Maria Bondani was born in Milano, Italy, in 1964. She received the M.S. degree (Laurea) in physics in 1989 and the Ph.D. degree in physics in 1994 from the Università degli Studi di Milano, Milano. She is currently a Research Scientist at National Research Council (CNR)—Institute for Photonics and Nanotechnology at the Università degli Studi dell’Insubria (Como). Her research activity covers topics of nonlinear optics, quantum optics, and radiation–matter interaction, with particular reference to light detection techniques in different intensity regimes and to applications of optical techniques to biological systems. Dr. Bondani is the author of more than 120 scientific papers issued in international scientific Journals. She is involved in teaching (since 1990) and science dissemination (since 1986). Since 2011 she has been Topical Editor of JOSAB.
