Marina Bernardi

Marina Bernardi was born in Milano, Italy, in 1966. She received the degree in physics from the University of Milano in 1992. She was at CERN for two years, where she worked on particle physics experiments with LEP colliders. Since the end of 1993, she has been with CESI, working on lightning phenomena, lightning modeling, and insulation coordination. Since 1999, she has been responsible for the Italian Lightning Location System SIRF. She is the author or co-author of more than 20 papers presented at international conferences and she is a member of the CIGRE Working Group C4.01 “Lightning.” Her research interests are mainly in the fields of lightning detection and lightning phenomena.
