Bio
Marja Matinmikko-blue (marja.matinmikko@oulu.fi) received D.Sc. degree in telecommunications engineering and the Ph.D. degree in management sciences from the University of Oulu, Finland, in 2012 and 2018, respectively. She is currently Research Director of Infotech Institute and Director of Sustainability and Regulation at 6G Flagship at the University of Oulu, where she also holds an adjunct professor position in spectrum management. She conducts multidisciplinary research on the technical, business, and regulatory aspects of mobile communication systems in close collaboration with industry, academia, and regulators. She has coordinated national project consortia that have demonstrated the world's first licensed shared access spectrum-sharing trials and introduced a new local 5G operator concept that has become a reality. She has published more than 180 scientific publications and prepared more than 160 contributions for regulatory bodies on spectrum management.
