Mark HebblethwaiteInstructor

Mark Hebblethwaite has been teaching at City U since 2006. Previously he taught at colleges in Poland and Abu Dhabi as well as high schools in Japan. He studied at Christ Church Canterbury for his MA in TEFL. He believes that education should be learner driven, whilst recognizing that student perceptions and expectations should be taken into account. He is also interested in how feedback is received by students whether it be in written form or consultations. Whilst at City U Mark has taught a number of general English course and EAP as well as Freshman English and Business Communication. Previously He coordinated the Current Issues and Social English courses. He has conducted a number of IELTS workshops and been responsible for running other skills based workshops delivered by GTAs.
