Mark W. Greenlee

Prof. Dr. Mark W. Greenlee was appointed Chair of Experimental Psychology and Methodology at the University of Regensburg in October 2003. He was formerly Associate Professor of Cognitive Neuropsychology at the University of Oldenburg from 1999 – 2003, during which time he was a member of the Research Group "Neurocognition" (SFB 517). In Regensburg he is co-director of the Magnet Resonance Imaging Center (together with Prof. Jens Schwarzbach) board member of the Master's Study Program Experimental & Clinical Neurosciences (ECN) member of the DFG Research Unit 1075. Greenlee studied from 1974 to 1978 at Wayne State University (Detroit, Michigan/USA). After a Junior Year at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg he continued his studies in Psychology and received his Diploma in 1984. In 1986 Greenlee received his doctorial degree in neurobiology on the topic "Spatial adaptation in a rod monochromat: The effect of visual experience on the development of the visual system". In 1989 he received his Habilitation from the Medical Faculty. Greenlee worked as a research fellow at the University of Freiburg, as a Feodor-Lynen Fellow of the Humboldt Foundation at the University of Oslo and in 1994 as a guest fellow of the University of London, Dept. of Psychology, Royal Holloway. From 1995 to 1999 he was a Herrmann und Lilly Schilling-Professor at the University of Freiburg. His research interests are in human vision, visual-vestibular interactions, multisensory processing using methods like functional MRI, eyetracking and psychophysics to monitor brain activity and behavior.
