Dr Masoud Atapour is a faculty member of Materials Science and Engineering at the Isfahan University of Technology, Iran. He joined the faculty of the IUT after earning his Ph.D in corrosion of different titanium alloys for biomedical applications from IUT, and working as a visiting scholar at Fontana Corrosion Center in Ohio State University, USA (2010-2011). His research program focuses on developing corrosion resistant materials for biomedical applications. He was also working as a visiting scholar in Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht, Germany (summer 2016) and focused on the wear and corrosion of Mg alloys after plasma electrolytic oxidation. In the summer 2017, he worked as a new visiting scholar in University of Milan in Italy. He is also working on the bio materials with KTH university.
