Research Interests:
He started his scientific activity in 1991 on Artificial Intelligence, logic programming, higher
order logics with links to the logic meta level. Since 1996 he has carrying on his research in
the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Learning Methodologies and Technologies. Today, his
research includes study and development of methods and techniques of Computational
Intelligence in order to enhance, extend and integrate approaches, based on the paradigm
of the Situation Awareness, for supporting decision-making processes. The research also
aims at the definition of Artificial Intelligence techniques (Fuzzy Logic, Rule and Data
Mining, Machine Learning, etc.) and at the development and integration of data sources
used by the DSS, as well as at the identification of methods and techniques (Fuzzy, FCM,
Rough sets, etc.) for approaches to Decision Making based on the definition of innovative
strategies (e.g., Fuzzy Consensus, GDM, three-way Decisions, etc.).
