Matti Tedre is a professor of computer science with the School of Computing, University of Eastern Finland, FI-80101, Joensuu, Finland. He is the Principal Investigator of a large, six-year national project that studies how to empower learners with insight into the mechanisms, opportunities, and dynamics of data-driven (AI) systems, but also their weaknesses, biases, and risks, and how they can be misused to discriminate, polarize, create insecurity, and break trust.
