Maurício B. C, Salles received the M.Sc. degree from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), São Paulo, Brazil, in 2004. In 2009, he received the Doctorate degree from the University of São Paulo (USP), São Paulo, Brazil. He is an Assistant Professor with the Polytechnic School, USP, since 2010. From 2006 to 2008, he joined the research team of the Institute of Electrical Machines, RWTH Aachen University. Between 2014 and 2015, he was a Visiting Scholar at Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. In 2018, he was Visiting Professor at École Centrale de Lille. His main research interests include distributed generation, power system dynamics, control and stability, renewable energy, energy storage, and electricity markets.
