Matthias Mayr is a Senior Researcher & Lecturer at the Institute for Mathematics and Computer-Based Simulation as well as the Head of the Data Science & Computing Lab of the University of the Bundeswehr Munich. His research activities revolve around nonlinear finite element formulations and solution techniques for various multiphysics problems with a strong focus on iterative solvers and multi-level preconditioning, non-conforming discretizations, and high-performance computing.
