Bio
Mayukh Das received the PhD degree from Jadavpur University, in association with Department of Bacteriology, National Institute of Cholera and Enteric Diseases, India. He is an associate scientific director and lead of in vitro phage biology group in Janssen R&D LLC of Johnson & Johnson. His doctoral research was focused on medical microbiology, enteric diseases and phage biology. He developed a phage-based biopesticide to control Pierce's Disease of grapevine during his research as postdoctoral research associate with Texas A&M University. He has obtained several publications, book chapter, patents, award and media releases. Currently, he is involved to develop recombinant human cell lines and phenotype-based high-throughput pathogen detection platform using microfluidics and artificial intelligence. He gained extensive experience in microbiology, bacteriology, cell biology, genomics, phage biology and phage therapy.
