In addition, he is also interested in aspects of reaction engineering for continuous, both metal-catalyzed heterogeneous and biocatalysis. Since 2018, he is spokesperson of the Collaborative Research Center CRC 1333 “Molecular Heterogeneous Catalysis in Confined Geometries” at the University of Stuttgart. An enrichment of the research results from the close connection of the chair to the German Institutes for Textile and Fiber Research Denkendorf (DITF), which are also headed by Prof. Buchmeiser as Member of the Board of Directors.
Prof. Buchmeiser has published more than 450 scientific papers and has filed more than 50 patents. For his scientific work, he received the “Professor Ernst Brandl Research Award 1998”, the “START Award-2001” the “Novartis Award 2001”, the “Otto-Roelen Medal of the German Catalytic Society” (2010).
