Bio
Mihai Christodorescu is a research scientist working in the areas of security & privacy at Visa Research. His research interests include data confidentiality and integrity, program analysis, and new primitives for secure operating systems.
Mihai’s past research in real-time, behavioral security for smartphones at the Qualcomm Research Silicon Valley lab is now available in the Qualcomm Snapdragon Smart Protect product. Before that he was a research staff member at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, where he worked on malware detection, scalable network intrusion detection, and cloud security. He holds a PhD in computer sciences from University of Wisconsin, Madison, where he developed novel techniques for program analysis to detect and characterize malware, while advised by Professor Somesh Jha.
