个人简介
Min Liao received the Ph.D. degree in aeronautical engineering from Northwestern Polytechnical University, China, in 1993, where he continued teaching and became an Associate Professor in 1996. From 1996 to 1999, he visited the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM), Germany, and worked with National Aerospace Laboratory (NAL/JAXA), Japan. In 1999, he joined the National Research Council Canada (NRC), and he is currently a Principal Research Officer and a Group Leader of Structural Integrity of the NRC Aerospace. He also served as the NRC Air Defense System program’s Thrust Lead (Life-Cycle Cost Reduction). His research interests are mainly on fatigue life prediction, corrosion and fatigue interaction modeling, probabilistic fracture mechanics, and risk analysis of aircraft structures with environmental effects. He has been serving as a Member-at-Large of ASTM E08 Executive Committee, and a member of the Scientific Committee of the Consortium for Aerospace Research and Innovation in Canada. He is the Canadian National Delegate for the International Committee on Aeronautical Fatigue and Structural Integrity, and a member of Editorial Board of Fatigue and Fracture of Engineering Materials and Structures.
