Mohammadreza Doostmohammadian received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in mechanical engineering from the Sharif University of Technology, Iran, in 2007 and 2010, respectively, where he worked on applications of control systems and robotics, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from Tufts University, Medford, MA, USA, in 2015. During his Ph.D. degree at the Signal Processing and Robotic Network (SPARTN) Laboratory, he worked on control and signal processing over networks with application in social networks. From 2015 to 2017, he was a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the ICT Innovation Center for Advanced Information and Communication Technology (AICT), School of Computer Engineering, Sharif University of Technology, with research on network epidemic, distributed algorithms, and complexity analysis of distributed estimation methods. He was a Researcher at the Iran Telecommunication Research Center (ITRC), Tehran, Iran, in 2017, working on distributed control algorithms and estimation over IoT. Since 2017, he has been an Assistant Professor with the Mechatronics Department, Semnan University, Iran. Since 2021, he has been a Researcher at the School of Electrical Engineering and Automation, Aalto University, Finland. His general research interests include distributed estimation, control, and convex optimization over networks. He was the Chair of robotics and control session at ISME-2018 Conference.
