Dr. Negar Tavassolian is the Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer of RadioSight. She is also an Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology, where she directs the Bio-Electromagnetics Laboratory. Dr. Tavassolian was Dr. Mirbeik’s Ph.D. advisor at Stevens. They have been working together since 2014. She received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, and McGill University, Montreal, Canada respectively. She received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2011 and was a Postdoctoral Associate at the David H. Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research at Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2011‒2013.
Dr. Tavassolian was an Assistant Professor at Stevens Institute of Technology from 2013‒2019. She is a recipient of the National Science Foundation Early Career Development Research Award (NSF CAREER) and the Provost Early Career Award for Research Excellence. She a senior member of IEEE and an Associate Editor of the IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters (AWPL). She is a Technical Program Committee member of IEEE MTT-10: Biological Effects and Medical Applications of RF and Microwaves. Her research interests include electromagnetics, wearable sensing, biomedical imaging, and mobile health. Her research is funded by various agencies including the National Science Foundation, US Army, and NASA
