Research and operational experience in hydrology with particular emphasis on hydrometeorology, and remote sensing. Research activities in the fields of stochastic modeling of precipitation, rainfall downscaling, characterization of dynamic and stochastic properties of precipitation, radar meteorology and flash flood forecasting procedures.In recent years his research has also been devoted to the development of data-fusion methodologies for multi sensor precipitation estimation.
