My current research is intended to develop a consortium and innovation ecosystem that will accelerate the introduction of effective therapies for pulmonary fibrosis (PF). We are creating a pipeline for ex vivo human translational models that will serve as core resources for expedite drug discovery and validation for PF. We are using two model systems which closely resembles the complexity of PF i.e. Tissue-based precision-cut lung slices (PCLS) and 3D cell-based organoid models.
