Bio
Olga Soler-Vilageliu was born in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, in 1961. She received the degree in psychology and the Ph.D. degree in psychology from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), in 1996, with a background in psycholinguistics. From 1986 to 2002, she was a Teaching Assistant with the Department of Basic, Developmental, and Educational Psychology, UAB. In 2002, she became an Associate Lecturer with the Department of Basic, Developmental, and Educational Psychology, UAB, where she teaches psychology of language and written language acquisition to psychology and speech therapy undergraduates. She is a member of the Transmedia Catalonia Research Group since 2013 and has collaborated in national and European research projects on media accessibility, focusing specially on sign language, audio-description, and audio-subtitling. She is currently collaborating in the H2020 projects Traction and Mediaverse. She also participates in a national project on text quality in school children. She has published around 50 works, including research papers, book chapters, and edited books on her research interests. She is a member of Sociedad Española de Psicología Experimental (SEPEX) and Asociación Española de Adquisición del Lenguaje (AEAL).
