Bio
Olivier Fourmaux received the master’s degree in computer systems and the Ph.D. degree in computer networks from Universit Pierre and Marie Curie (UPMC), Paris 6, in 1995 and 1998, respectively. He is currently a Maître de conférences HDR (an Assistant Professor) with Sorbonne University. Before that, he was an Assistant Professor with Institut Galile, University of Paris 13. He is a member of the LIP6 Laboratory (a joint CNRS-SU Research Unit), where he is a part of the Networks and Performance Analysis Team. Together with Timur Friedman, he leads the Dioptra Group, which focusses on internet measurements for research and education. His research interests include content delivery networks, P2P networks, active networks, and multimedia transmission.
