• July/2012: Graduation in Biotechnology, University of Aveiro;
• July/2014: Master degree in Biotechnology: Food Biotechnology, University of Aveiro;
• July/2014 to July 2015: Research grant holder in the project Profit Apple, Agrarian Higher School - Polytechnic Institute of Viseu;
• October/2015 to December/2019: PhD in Food Science, Technology and Nutrition at University of Aveiro;
• January/2020 to May/2021: Post-Doc in Aquafaba project
• May/2021 to January 2022: Post-doc in project cLabel+: Alimentos inovadores “clean label” naturais, nutritivos e orientados para o consumidor (POCI-01-0247-FEDER-046080)
January/2022 to present: Level 1 Researcher at LAQV-REQUIMTE University of Aveiro
Research interests:
• Valuation of agro-industrial by-products;
• Antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of polyphenols from agro-industrial byproducts;
• Interaction of polyphenols with polysaccharides and their impact in food technology and nutrition;
• Polyphenol oxidation mechanisms and products;
• Sugar reduction strategies;
• Polysaccharides in emulsion formation and stability;
Publications
• (Co-)author of 20 SCI papers (h = 14), 3 book chapter, and several oral and poster presentations in national and international scientific meetings.
Awards:
• 2015: Rotary Club Aveiro - Américo Reboredo award for the best student in Food Chemistry at the University of Aveiro.
• 2019: Best oral communication at Glupor13
• 2022: Ecotrophelia Portugal award
• 2022: Ecotrophelia Europe 2ndaward
