Bio
Petar S. Aleksic received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Belgrade, Serbia, in 1999, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, in 2001 and 2004, respectively.
He has been a member of the Image and Video Processing Lab at Northwestern University, since 1999, where he is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow. He has published more than ten articles in the area of audio-visual signal processing, pattern recognition, and computer vision. His primary research interests include visual feature extraction and analysis, audio-visual speech recognition, audio-visual biometrics, multimedia communications, computer vision, pattern recognition, and multimedia data mining.
